Choosing the right treatments for your bay windows can be exciting, but there are a few issues that can pop up along the way to put a dampener on your plans. The most common issue when picking out bay window treatments is a deep window ledge. This refers to an issue when the ledge of the window frame is closer than the window pane.
If your bay window has a deep ledge, then picking the right blinds or curtains can be a problem. You might pick ones that look great in the store, but when they are attached they could end up making your window look further away than it actually is. Depending on the shape of the windows, you can get away with just curtains over the entire area. Rather than having an individual curtain on each window, having one ‘stage curtain’ over the whole area will give you the look that you need without having to worry about a large gap between window and curtain.
